Seming Ma is the grandson of Grand Master Ark Y. Wong. He was born in Canton China (1955). He spent his childhood in China and Hong Kong. While in China, Seming already learned some kung fu from his grandfather’s housekeeper at a very young age. Then as a youngster in Hong Kong, he was fascinated and intrigued with kung fu story books and movies which inspired him to practice kung fu and follow its tradition. In 1961, Ark Wong came to Hong Kong to unite with the family then left kung fu materials for Seming to study. In 1967, Seming arrived in America, in no time his grandfather already had him follow a vigorous kung fu training program designed for an inheritor. It consisted of fundamental, hand and weapon forms, combat concept, physical, mental, spiritual cultivation and kung fu philosophy and traditions. The training program was both in Chinese and English. After being trained, Seming began teaching on behalf of his grandfather. At the same time Ark Wong and Seming set up the Standard of Ng Ga Kuen fundamental, forms, technique applications, body conditioning training, breathing/internal exercises, system concepts and Ng Ga Kuen terminology in Chinese and English. In 1987, Grand Master Wong passed away, Seming inherited the System; and is continuing his grandfather’s legacy to teach authentic Ng Ga Kuen Kung Fu.
